At 9 o'clock in the morning on December 28, the first phase of the opening operation of Wuhu Rail Transit Line 2 was held at the event site of Line 2 "Wuhu Railway Station" station. The first phase of Wuhu Rail Line 2 and Line 1, both belong to the unmanned continuous rigid frame straddle monorail, the vehicle directly rides on the "beam and rail in one" track beam, with a small turning radius and climbing ability Strong, low operating noise, high ride comfort, good lighting effect, and effective use of urban space.

The first-phase project of Wuhu Urban Rail Transit Line 2 runs east-west, with a total length of 15.787 kilometers, of which the underground line is 1.409 kilometers, the ground and elevated lines are 14.378 kilometers, 11 stations are set up, and the construction is general contracted by China Railway (Shanghai) Investment Group .

Among them, the China Railway Fourth Bureau undertook the construction of 10.914 kilometers under the line and the construction tasks of the entire line of four power projects, including 7 elevated stations and 7 elevated sections. Among them, Wanchunhu Station is an elevated three-story side platform station with three columns and two Spanning structure, the other six stations are three-story side platform stations with elevated roads.

After the first-phase project of Line 2 was put into operation, it realized "T" network operation with Line 1 and seamlessly connected to Wuhu Railway Station, providing guarantee for the construction of "big traffic" in Wuhu City and the realization of "big speed increase" in urban area travel. .
