On July 27, 2021, with a whistle buzzing, a 75,138 China-Europe train carrying 50 40-foot container tower cranes departed from Guangxi Nanning International Railway Port and is expected to arrive in Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan and Almat in 11 days. In the picture, this is the first heavy machinery China-Europe train to Kazakhstan from Guangxi.
On March 13, 2021, the Guangxi Railway Department opened the "Nanning-Xi'an (Xinzhu)-Nur-Sultan" China-Europe Express Transit Line. In order to improve transportation efficiency and reduce enterprise transportation costs, China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. optimized the transportation plan, designed the operation route, and researched and worked out the "Nanning-Nur-Sultan-Almaty" direct route. The direct route is 4662 kilometers in length, 369 kilometers shorter than the original route, and the transportation time is reduced from 13 days to 11 days.
The new direct routes have brought convenience to shipping companies. Weng Yuanchun, general manager of Guangxi Construction Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., said: "In mid-March, the China-Europe Railway Express delivered the tower cranes to the destination on time and in quantity, bringing considerable economic benefits to our company. Compared with the previous time, This time, the transportation can be directly from Nanning to Alashankou for exit, saving us time and cost, which makes our products more competitive in the international market."
In the next step, the Guangxi Railway Department will continue to rely on the new western land and sea corridors and play the role of the Belt and Road link, and strive to normalize the monthly heavy machinery China-Europe trains to Kazakhstan, and help more "Made in China" go abroad.
