In 2021, Lanzhou dry port in Gansu Province will focus on actively integrating into the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, insist on accelerating the construction of key projects, continuously improve the basic functions and supporting facilities of the dry port logistics hub, adhere to open and smooth circulation, promote development, and continue to deepen the external Cooperation and exchanges, enhance the function of the open platform, vigorously develop the modern logistics industry, strive to build an international logistics transit hub and international trade goods distribution center, and comprehensively promote the quality and efficiency of logistics.

Improve timeliness. The opening of the Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway has greatly shortened the time and space distance between Lanzhou and Chongqing and other southwestern regions, opened up the southward sea port in Gansu Province, significantly reduced the logistics costs of enterprises, and greatly improved the competitiveness of enterprises. The railway transportation distance from Lanzhou to Chongqing has been shortened from the original 1453 kilometers to 886 kilometers, and the running time is more than 12 hours, which is about 8 hours shorter than before. The distance from Lanzhou to Qinzhou Port is 2763 kilometers. It originally took 15 days. The Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway is used to transport goods to Guangxi Qinzhou Port with the shortest distance and the lowest transportation cost. It saves more than 500 more than the traditional multimodal transport line that transits through the eastern port. Kilometers, more than 1,100 nautical miles.

lower the cost. As the customs of the four provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities of Chongqing, Guangxi, Guizhou, and Long jointly promote the "three mutual" cooperation and integration of customs clearance, and implement the "one-stop" service, the customs clearance time of the new western land-sea channel has been shortened by 1/3 compared with the previous one, and the cost of customs clearance has been greatly reduced. Promote the innovative rail-sea combined transport model. The cost of rail transport for a single container can be reduced by nearly half compared with road transport costs, saving more than 7 million yuan a year. Formulate the management method of logistics subsidy funds for freight trains in the southbound corridor, and support the implementation of preferential policies for trains.

Expansion of trade. In 2019, 119 domestic trains were delivered, with an annual throughput of 305,000 vehicles. In 2020, 207 trains of domestic trade cars will be delivered, with an annual throughput of 423,000 vehicles. In the first quarter of 2021, 66 domestic trade vehicles will be shipped with a throughput of 138,200 vehicles, an increase of 68,700 vehicles or 98.8% year-on-year. In 2020, a total of 2.515 billion yuan will be completed (including 2.321 billion yuan in domestic trade and 196 million yuan in foreign trade) and a cargo throughput of 5.21 million tons.

market development. Strengthen cooperation with Chongqing and Guangxi international freight train platform enterprises, mutually participate in the formation of close companies, share the preferential policies of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities along the route, innovate the "domestic trade + foreign trade" mixed ladder type logistics transportation mode, and break the bottleneck of the freight train collection and consolidation. Ensure the stable operation of the "weekly shift" of the train. In May 2018, an international trade representative office was established in Nanning, Guangxi, to collect and grasp market information in a timely manner to promote the development of international logistics and international trade business. Construct Lanzhou dry port in Beibu Gulf Port and vigorously develop rail-sea combined transportation to further reduce the operating cost of trains. Editor/Xing Wentao
