On July 28, 2021, China Datang Group Co., Ltd. and China Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd. signed a contract in Chengdu for the second phase of Jiangxi Datang International Xinyu Power Generation Co., Ltd. to expand two sets of 1,000 MW project three major main equipment. Liu Guangying, member of the party group and deputy general manager of the group company, and Xu Peng, member of the party group and deputy general manager of Dongfang Electric Group, attended the meeting and jointly witnessed the signing ceremony.

Liu Guangying thanked Dongfang Electric for its support to China Datang. He pointed out that the second phase of Xinyu project is the first million-second reheating project during the 14th Five-Year Plan period of China Datang, and it carries the major mission of China Datang to optimize the energy structure. Both parties should concentrate their superior resources and build the project into a high-quality project and a model project. He hopes that both parties will continue to leverage their respective advantages, strengthen industrial coordination, and advance cooperation in various fields.
