A few days ago, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Shenergy Group and Suzhou Urban Investment Corporation and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Suzhou-Shanghai natural gas pipeline tie line project kick-off area was held, marking the beginning of a new chapter in energy interconnection in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The Suzhou-Shanghai natural gas pipeline tie line project is a landmark project of the Suzhou-Shanghai municipal infrastructure interconnection project. The project is divided into two parts, the Shanghai section and the Suzhou section. The new natural gas pipeline will be approximately 41.5 kilometers long to connect the Shanghai natural gas main pipeline network with the Suzhou natural gas high-pressure pipeline network. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into production in June 2023, and the annual gas supply capacity will exceed 2 billion cubic meters.

According to the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed by the two parties, Shenergy Group and Suzhou City Investment will use the cooperation of the Suzhou-Shanghai natural gas connection line as an opportunity to realize energy interconnection and mutual protection on the basis of diversification of natural gas trade and natural gas storage capacity. Carry out extensive cooperation in related businesses such as sharing, promoting the development of downstream natural gas markets, and expanding comprehensive energy utilization. In addition, in the financial field, the two parties will seek diversified financial cooperation space, innovate financial products, and expand the service markets of both parties.
