Huanong Xiangyang Campus Project

The project is located to the east of Luming Road, south of the Inner Ring Road, west of Modern Avenue, and north of Tinghou Road in the Dongjin New District of Xiangyang. The construction content includes teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, administrative buildings, school hospitals, graphic arts centers, industrial buildings and the comprehensive building of the Municipal Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In addition, 1038 acres of talent training and innovative experiments will be built in Yushan Town, Xiangzhou District. , Integrated demonstration, popular science training, results display, agricultural experience six functions in one teaching and research experiment base, 3 scientific research experiment stations of 300 acres each.

In addition, 20,000 acres of comprehensive agricultural demonstration parks will be built in Zhangjiaji Town and Shuanggou Town, the National Modern Agriculture Demonstration Zone of Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City. It is expected that the Xiangyang campus of Huazhong Agricultural University will reach about 10,000 students in the next 3 to 5 years.

It is reported that on May 14, 2020, the Xiangyang Municipal People’s Government and Huazhong Agricultural University signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly build the Xiangyang Institute of Modern Agriculture of Huazhong Agricultural University and the Xiangyang Campus of Huazhong Agricultural University in Xiangyang to jointly build technological innovation and industrial cooperation. The platform helps Xiangyang to be at the forefront of China in the construction of a national innovative city.
