On August 27, 2021, Three Gorges China Hydropower and the Lao Ministry of Public Works and Transportation formally signed the contract for the third section of the upgrade and reconstruction project of the southern section of Highway 13. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation Mr. bounchanh SINRASVONG (deputy ministerial level) attended the signing ceremony.

The project is located in the provinces of Porikansai and Kammun, Laos. It is a highway project integrating design, construction and long-term maintenance and management. In recent years, Laos has vigorously developed infrastructure projects. This project is an innovative development planning project in Kenya. After the completion of the project, it will effectively improve the transportation conditions of Laos's main transportation artery, Highway 13, and promote the development of resources and economic and social development of the areas along the route.
