The leaders of the UAE announced 10 principles that will govern the country’s future for the next 50 years. The document entitled "The 50-person principle" was developed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. His Highness Al Nahyan jointly announced the Deputy Supreme Commander of Abu Dhabi and the UAE Armed Forces.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, said: "Our only enduring mission is to provide the citizens and residents of the UAE with the best possible life. The economy will lead the UAE for the next 50 years. Development path, a political approach based on peace and dialogue. The upcoming phase will witness the comprehensive and balanced development of all regions and sectors in the UAE."

Sheikh Mohammed stated that the document is a strategic roadmap for a new era of political, economic and social development in the country. He said that the UAE’s priority is development and its goal is to let everyone work as a team. "Our country is one... Our national flag is one," he wrote on Twitter.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stated that the new economic movement aims to ensure that the UAE will become one of the world's most powerful economies in the next 50 years.
