The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Ma Ming presided over a government meeting on September 21 to consider and approve the "Ekibastuz City Comprehensive Economic and Social Development Plan by 2025".

Ma Ming said that Ekibastuz is an important industrial and energy center city in Pavlodar and even Kazakhstan. Ekibastuz has great potential to develop the energy industry. The implementation of 114 measures proposed in the "Comprehensive Development Plan" will help inject new impetus into the development of Pavlodar Region. It is planned that by 2025, Ekibastuz City’s investment in fixed assets will reach 737 billion tenge, a four-fold increase over the current period. It will be mainly used to build housing and other infrastructure, develop social fields, and solve ecological problems. Ekibastuz will comprehensively plan urban industrial development, focusing on the development of the metallurgical industry and the production of railway machinery and equipment.

Ma Ming pointed out that in accordance with the "Comprehensive Development Plan", the construction of Ekibastuz No. 2 Thermal Power Plant Unit 3 and the restart of Ekibastuz No. 1 Thermal Power Plant Unit 1. The above-mentioned projects will create 16,500 jobs, and the average salary of employees will increase by 43%. Ma Ming instructed the Ministry of National Economy and the Pavlodar State Government to work with other relevant departments to ensure that the various measures proposed in the "Comprehensive Development Plan" are completed on time.
