From January to August of 2021, Zhanjiang City has been listed as a provincial key project and completed an investment of 33.888 billion yuan, completing 84.3% of the annual investment plan, which is 17.6 percentage points over time and 2.3 percentage points higher than the province, driving Zhanjiang’s fixed asset investment growth by 25.6 %, the growth rate ranks second in Guangdong Province.

East Island Industrial Park, Zhanjiang Economic Development Zone

The Zhanjiang Economic Development Zone Donghaidao Industrial Park (Expansion Park) project is a provincial key project. The park has been expanded by 13.1 square kilometers in the near future, and the development and construction period will be 15 years. The total investment is about 20.18 billion yuan. The project will adopt the ecological environment-oriented area integrated development (EOD) model to promote the construction of municipal roads and related supporting projects, river improvement projects, and supporting commercial comprehensive service area projects in the park.
