On September 25, 2021, China Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Armenia High Voltage Power Grid Corporation formally signed the EPC contract for Zovuni 220kV substation transformation project.
The project is a World Bank loan cash exchange project. The power station is located on the northern border of Yerevan, Armenia. It was put into use in 1970. The main content of the project is to transform the existing substation, including the repair of the main transformer in the station, auxiliary transformer, isolation switch, Replacement of equipment such as DC and relay protection, as well as the basic replacement and renovation of 220kV, 110kV, and 10kV related equipment, as well as related construction and installation projects such as the repair of the fire tank in the station, the repair of the building, the repair of the tower, and the roads in the station. And restoration projects such as greening.
