On October 12, 2021, the 16-meter super large diameter shield machine "Craftsman No. 1" developed by the China Railway 14th Bureau Group passed the factory acceptance and rolled off the assembly line in Nansha, Guangzhou. It will soon be shipped to the Jiangyin Jingjiang Yangtze River Tunnel Project.

The "Craftsman No. 1" shield machine is 165 meters long and weighs about 4,300 tons. The "smiling angel" Yangtze finless porpoise painted with a cutter head is a national first-class protected animal. Its friendly and friendly smiling image highlights the regional cultural characteristics of Jiangsu. Contains high standards for ecological protection of the Yangtze River.
