EDF has submitted a preliminary offer to the Polish government for the construction of four to six European Pressurized Reactor (EPR) nuclear reactors in Poland. These reactors will be built in two or three locations, with a total installed capacity of between 6.6GW and 9.9GW. EDF's quotation covers the engineering, procurement and construction services of the reactor.

It also includes other important aspects such as factory configuration, industrial plans, local supply chain development plans, estimated costs and timetables. EDF said in a statement: “This EPR-based nuclear program will bring many benefits to the Polish economy, help the country’s energy independence, provide electricity for at least 60 years, and meet up to 40% of Poland’s current electricity Demand. "Because of safe, reliable, dispatchable and carbon dioxide-free energy, it can avoid up to 55 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year, which greatly contributes to achieving net zero emissions. It is estimated that during the construction phase of the project, every two EPRs will create nearly 25,000 local jobs and thousands of indirect jobs. EDF stated that its preliminary offer is aimed at achieving all the goals contained in the Polish Nuclear Power Program (PPEJ) approved by the Polish government in October last year.Editor/XingWentao、Design/XiaChangwang
