Iberdrola and TotalEnergies join forces to build a Norwegian wind power project

Iberdrola, TotalEnergies and NorskHavvind jointly built two offshore sites in southern Norway to develop floating and bottom fixed wind power projects with a cumulative capacity of 4.5GW. The consortium stated that it will use its members' proven technologies in bottom fixed and floating offshore wind power, as well as the challenges, territories and stakeholders facing Norway.

David Rowland, Iberdrola's offshore wind business development director, said: "This agreement in Norway is in line with Iberdrola's strategy to consolidate its position as the world's largest renewable energy company and builds on the company's previous transactions and investments in offshore wind power in recent years. We see that the long-term potential of offshore wind power projects in the Norwegian market is very good, and we are determined to strengthen the skills and supply chain of the North Sea offshore wind power industry."
