The overall plan for the second phase of the Tianjin LNG receiving station project is to build 6 storage tanks with 220,000 cubic meters. After all the storage tanks and supporting facilities of the second phase project are put into operation, the LNG storage capacity of the storage tanks of the Tianjin LNG Terminal will reach 1.54 million cubic meters, the daily natural gas transmission capacity will reach 70 million cubic meters, and the annual processing capacity will reach 12 million tons. , Which is nearly double the existing capacity, which will effectively alleviate the shortage of natural gas supply in North China in winter.

The single dome of the No. 4 and No. 8 storage tanks raised this time has a single weight of over 1,141 tons and a diameter of 91 meters; the cap area is nearly the size of two football fields, which is the largest domestic storage tank of 220,000 cubic meters. The innovation of the storage tank adopts the flexible connection method of the seismic isolation pad between the pile foundation and the cap, and through the process technology of increasing the diameter of the tank and reducing the height of the tank, the seismic performance of the storage tank is greatly improved.

In addition, the second phase of the Tianjin LNG receiving station project will complete the pressure rise of the No. 5 and No. 6 storage tanks before the end of this month, which will set the domestic record for the shortest time to complete the topping of four storage tanks.

Tianjin LNG receiving terminal is the largest LNG liquid distribution base in North China. Since its commissioning in 2013, it has transported 19 million tons of LNG. This winter and next spring, the Tianjin LNG terminal is expected to unload 46 LNG ships and deliver nearly 3 million tons of clean energy to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and North China.

At present, the 7 LNG receiving stations operated by the National Pipeline Network Group have an annual unloading capacity of 30.6 million tons and a maximum daily export capacity of nearly 130 million cubic meters, which has an important role in gas storage and peak shaving.
