Recently, the Jiangmen Municipal Transportation Bureau issued the "Tenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Jiangmen's Comprehensive Transportation System." According to the plan, the investment in the "14th Five-Year Plan" will reach 200 billion yuan, focusing on the implementation of six key projects. The planning period is the fourteenth five-year period (2021-2025).

Overall objective

By the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Jiangmen has formed a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network with internal and external links, high-efficiency and high-quality, and a modern comprehensive transportation system with high-speed connections to surrounding cities, rapid connections between clusters and urban and rural areas, and a strong support for the industrial platform, forming a "12345" The comprehensive transportation development pattern of Jiangmen City provides a solid guarantee for Jiangmen City to build a comprehensive transportation hub in the west of the Pearl River, a hub gateway city on the west side of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a new growth pole on the west bank of the Pearl River, and a Jianghai gateway to the coastal economic belt.

"12345" refers to focusing on one core goal (building a transportation hub city on the west bank of the Pearl River), upgrading the energy levels of two major hubs (railways, ports), and forming three transportation circles. One hour to reach all cities (counties) in the city area, as well as major cities in the Pearl River Delta and surrounding arterial airports; about two hours to reach other cities in the province; about three hours to reach surrounding provincial capitals, constructing 4 systems (infrastructure system, transportation service system, Support the security system, industry governance system), build 5 networks (high-speed direct skeleton network, efficient access trunk network, comprehensive coverage of the basic network, comfortable and convenient slow-travel network, and three-dimensional multimodal transport network).

Specific goals

Construction investment: The "14th Five-Year Plan" investment strives to reach 200 billion yuan, focusing on the implementation of six key projects.

Railway: Fully integrated into the "Greater Bay Area on Track", the railway operating mileage reaches about 296 kilometers, of which the high-speed railway reaches about 186 kilometers, realizing the full coverage of railway passenger stations in the "four cities and three districts". Build the deep river railway, the Jiangmen-Zhuhai-Zhuhai-Zhuhai section of the Zhuhai-Zhaoqing high-speed railway, and the Guangzhou-Foshan intercity.

Highways: The highway network is more complete. The total highway mileage exceeds 10,000 kilometers, and the expressway reaches about 740 kilometers; the proportion of ordinary national highways of second and above reaches about 98%, and the proportion of ordinary provincial highways of third class and above reaches 95%. The proportion of two-lane highways is striving to reach 100%.

The Jiangmen section of the Zhongkai Expressway, the Huangmaohai Sea Crossing Channel, the Yinzhou Lake Expressway, the expansion of Jianghe Expressway, the expansion of Jiangzhong Expressway, Jiangmen Avenue South, Taikai Expressway, Wuyi Road, Huigang Avenue, Nanshan Road, National Highway G325 Heshan Zhishan to Kaiping Tangkou section, National Highway G240 Xinhuihuicheng to Niuwan section and Taishan Dajiang to Najin section reconstruction projects; construction of Nanhai-Xinhui Expressway, Guangtai Expressway Kaiping to Taishan section, Binjiang Express Line, Shunhegao Expressway and other projects.

Port shipping: The port's channel capacity has been further enhanced, adding 8 piers of 10,000-ton level or more and 1 channel of 10,000-ton level. Completed the construction of the second phase of the Yamen Channel into the sea, realizing full-tide navigation for 10,000-ton ships and 20,000-ton tidal navigation.
