On November 23, 2021, the Xuancheng City Public Resources Trading Center announced the pre-winning candidate for the PPP project of the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway Guangde-Xuancheng Section Reconstruction and Expansion Project. Anhui Provincial Transportation Holding Group Co., Ltd. is the leader of the consortium, and Xuanguang Expressway Co., Ltd. formed a consortium to win Anhui Expressway, with a total investment of 13.778 billion yuan.

Project Overview

The current situation of the project is a two-way four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100Km/h and a roadbed width of 24.5m (26.5m in Xuancheng South Ring). According to different reconstruction and expansion standards, the project is divided into five sections. The standards for each section are as follows: ①Starting point to Jiepai hub section (NK1+211～NK3+092): Four lanes to eight lanes, design speed 120km/h, overall The width of the subgrade is 42.0m. ②Guangde North Line (NK3+092～NK28+816.931): a new two-way six-lane road with a design speed of 120km/h and an integral roadbed with a width of 34.5m. ③Guangde-Xuancheng East Interchange (K29+856.121～K77+000): Four lanes to eight lanes, design speed 120km/h, and integral roadbed width 42.0m. ④Xuancheng South Ring Section (K77+000～K93+472.156): Four lanes are changed to eight lanes, the design speed is 100km/h, and the overall roadbed width is 42.0m. ⑤The old section of Guangde South Line (NK3+092～K29+856.121): Maintain the four-lane standard, carry out road surface improvement, bridge repair and reinforcement, and safety facilities upgrade and transformation. The completion of the project will further improve the high-speed rail channel, enhance the channel's transportation capacity and service quality. The G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway from Guangde to Xuancheng is the main expressway from the central and western regions to the Yangtze River Delta, and it is also an important export channel for the eastward docking of the Yangtze River Delta in the Anhui Province and even in the national expressway network. In recent years, the traffic volume of Xuan-Guang Expressway has increased rapidly, and the current high-speed capacity and service level can no longer meet the needs of future development, and the reconstruction and expansion of the project is becoming more and more urgent.
