330 million dollars! Democratic Republic of Congo launches new road plan

A new engineering project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo will benefit the national road network. These plans are being developed in neighboring Uganda to improve traffic conditions in Central and East Africa.

The plan is called the Regional Connectivity Road Project and requires approximately US$330 million in road construction, upgrade and maintenance works in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As part of the improved trade plan, the three improved routes will promote transportation between the two countries. The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo will provide 20% of the necessary funds, and the government of Uganda will also provide 20% of the funds.
