On the same day, the five major projects of Wuhan Rail Transit Xingang Line Phase I, Line 5 Phase II, Line 16 Phase II, Line 12 Connection Project and Rail Transit Information Cloud Platform Project started on the same day, with a total investment of approximately 17 billion yuan. So far, there are 13 rail transit lines under construction in Wuhan, with a total mileage of 229 kilometers and 116 stations under construction.

The first phase of the Xingang Line project: starts at Beiyangqiao Station in Yangchunhu area and ends at Baiyushan Station. The total length of the line is about 10.9 kilometers. There are 5 stations, all of which are underground. The project can improve the accessibility of the rail network, the layout density of the rail network in the eastern region, and the distribution capacity of Wuhan Railway Station, support the development of the city’s recent key construction areas, and support the urban spatial pattern planning of one main, four auxiliary and four clusters, which is conducive to promoting the areas along the route. The second phase project of Line 5: starts at Hongxiacun Station and ends at the starting point of Line 5. The length of the line is about 2.63 kilometers, all of which are elevated lines. The second phase project of Line 5 and the Line 5 project together connect the main city and Huangjiahu University City, construct a rapid rail transit corridor between the main city and the southern new city group, shorten the space-time distance between the southern new city and the central city, and achieve "30 minutes to reach The central area, 60 minutes through the city" function. The project can also guide the city to expand along the planned development axis to the periphery of the city, and can support the urban spatial development of the Huangjia Lake and Qingling Lake areas.

The second phase of Line 16 project: starting at Xingcheng Avenue Station in the General Aviation Industrial Park, and connecting to Line 16 Zhoujiahe Station (existing) along Shamao Avenue. The total length of the line is 4.22 kilometers, with 2 elevated stations. The project to the General Aviation Industrial Park strengthens the traffic connection between the General Aviation Industrial Park and Shamao New City, Junshan, Zhuankou, and the central city, and further accelerates the development of the park.

Line 12 connection project: connects Zhongyi Road Station of Line 12 and Houhu Avenue Station of Yangluo Line, and will be connected to Yangluo Line for operation after completion. The line is located in the Houhu area of Jiang'an District, Wuhan, and is laid along Houhu Avenue. The line starts at Zhongyi Road Station on Line 12 and ends at Houhu Avenue Station on Yangluo Line. It has a total length of 3.12 kilometers and is a full underground line with 2 stations. The project will transfer Line 12, Line 8 and Yangluo Line. The main function is to realize multi-point transfer between Yangluo Line and urban line, forming a "ring network radiation" track structure, connecting Houhu and Pagodas. The lake and other clusters will increase the track coverage density in the northern Hankou area, ease the traffic pressure along the route, and further strengthen the traffic connection between Yangluo and Hankou.

Wuhan Rail Transit Information Cloud Platform Project: It is a demonstration project in China and the first in the subway industry. It can realize the centralized command and comprehensive management of the entire line network, strengthen digital empowerment, and create a smart subway with "overall intelligence and efficient operation", which is a perfect city The digital governance system provides an important fulcrum. The Wuhan Rail Transit Information Cloud Platform has the ability to access 32 lines, and will realize the unified management of line, network and cloud in the future.
