The Hollandse Kust (West) wind farm area offshore the Netherlands can accommodate 1,400 MW. The tender will start on April 14, 2022.

The Ministry of Economy and Climate Policy of the Netherlands released the first draft of the order for two sites VI and VII in the region on December 23, 2021. Consultation and feedback will be accepted before January 11, after which the final version of the order will be published in the government gazette.

The bidding for development licenses for these locations will end on May 12, 2022, and the winner is expected to be announced after the summer of the same year. The Dutch Enterprise Agency stated that it will organize an online information meeting on tenders on January 31.

It is worth noting that this tender has added a financial bid with a ceiling of 50 million euros. If the bidder bids 50 million euros for the license, the bidder will get the highest score for the financial bid. A lower bid will result in a deduction of a certain point for every 2.5 million euro reduction.

According to the plan, the wind farm is expected to be put into operation in 2025/2026. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
