After the public bidding ended, Alstom and Metrorex signed a maintenance service contract for the Bucharest Metro train fleet. The 15-year contract, which is valid until 2036, is worth 500 million euros and is based on estimates of the mileage of trains in circulation. These services include preventive and corrective maintenance and overhaul of a total of 82 trains at the time the contract was signed.

There are 82 trains with 492 carriages and an average annual total mileage of 8.5 million kilometers. More than 350 people are dedicated to performing maintenance activities.
