A few days ago, the "14th Five-Year Plan for Civil Aviation Development" jointly issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Transport was officially announced. There is a new blueprint for the development of civil aviation in the next five years.

According to the development indicators determined in the plan, from 2020 to 2025, the number of civil airports in China will increase from 580 to 770. Among them, the number of civil transport airports increased from 241 to 270. In other words, in the next five years, China will add 29 civil transport airports.

The named hub airports are

Accelerate the construction of international aviation hubs such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Kunming, Xi'an, Chongqing, Urumqi, Harbin, build Chengdu Tianfu Airport, plan to build the Pearl River Delta Hub (Guangzhou New) Airport, and promote Tianjin, Shenyang, Jinan, Lanzhou , Nanning, Guiyang, Lhasa and other regional hub airports will expand and renovate, and implement the relocation and construction of Xiamen, Hohhot, Dalian, Nantong and other airports.

Among them, Chengdu Tianfu Airport will be officially opened in June 2021. At the same time, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, which was relocated, was officially put into operation in August last year. In addition, Hohhot New Airport, which is also a new airport to be relocated, has recently been reported by the media to have obtained the "Construction Project Planning Permit". In addition, Shijiazhuang, Changchun, Nanjing, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Yinchuan and other airports are expected to start the preliminary work of reconstruction and expansion in the "14th Five-Year Plan".
