The rotor of Unit 9 began to be installed on July 19, 2021. After bracket assembly and welding, yoke lamination shrink-fit, magnetic pole hanging and other installation links, the rotor installation was completed on January 15, 2022, and the cylindricity after the magnetic pole was assembled was not uniform. More than 0.30 mm, the perpendicularity of the magnetic poles does not exceed 0.26 mm, and the concentricity between the magnetic poles and the rotor does not exceed 0.053 mm (only the diameter of a hair), and the technical indicators are better than the quality set standards formulated by the Three Gorges Group.
Baihetan Hydropower Station is the largest and most technically difficult hydropower project under construction in the world. It is the second cascade hydropower station developed in the lower reaches of the Jinsha River at the junction of Ningnan County, Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province. After all the hydropower units are put into operation, the annual average power generation is 62.443 billion kWh, which is equivalent to saving about 19.68 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 51.6 million tons each year.
