A few days ago, the Ministry of Transport and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province jointly approved the "Nantong Port Master Plan (2035)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"). The approval of the "Planning" provides a strong guarantee for Nantong City to comprehensively promote excellent river expansion and river-sea linkage, in-depth implementation of the new sea port construction of Tongzhou Bay Yangtze River container transportation and the landing construction of a number of major port-related projects.

This round of "Planning" is guided by "together with large-scale protection, not large-scale development", embodies the concept of characteristic dislocation, transformation and improvement, intensive and efficient, green and low-carbon development, and proposes the development direction of Nantong Port "excellent river and sea, river and sea linkage". The overall planning pattern of "one port and four districts" of Nantong Port is clarified, which are three port areas along the river (such as Gao Port Area, Nantong Port Area, Tonghai Port Area) and one coastal port area (Tongzhou Bay Port Area).
