Russia is seeking funding from China's Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for major infrastructure projects. Two major transport routes are included in the five infrastructure projects. The program is administered by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

The $10 billion funding package will help build Russia's vital road link between China and Europe. The Russian government wants China to finance the construction of the road because it will bring huge economic benefits to China as well as Russia and Europe.

The AIIB is also seeking $1.4 billion worth of funding for the construction of the Vladivostok Ring Road, as well as $50 million for a logistics center near the recently completed Amur border crossing linking eastern Russia with China . Other projects seeking AIIB funding in the infrastructure plan are the construction of wind farms. Editor / Xu Shengpeng
