The builders fully combined the local conditions of high altitude and sufficient sunshine to set up 112 solar lamps outdoors and 117 photoreceptors indoors. They can independently control the light and shade of the lights according to the intensity of sunlight to achieve an overall energy saving of over 30%.

In view of the hard water quality and more impurities in the local area, the project uses an air source heat pump to provide hot water instead of the traditional boiler hot water system, and adding a softened water system can further save about 15% of energy consumption.

The project actively implements "localized" management, employs outstanding graduates and laborers in the locality to implement the "one-to-one, one-on-one apprentice" teaching method, and cultivates technical talents through "transmission and guidance", providing more than 3,000 jobs in total.

An Ethiopian boy named Bale came to the project after graduating from college and studied with Liu Yiwu, the project's electromechanical manager. "In the beginning, the technology was not good, and the teacher would enlighten me without criticism. He taught me skills and made me become a talent quickly." Lay said.
