On the morning of February 16, 2022, the signing ceremony and groundbreaking ceremony of Midea Group's new strategic new energy vehicle parts base was held in Yuanmeng New District, Anqing Economic and Technological Development Zone. According to reports, this is the latest major achievement of Anqing's internal platform and outreach to fellow villagers. It is also the second tens of billions of major projects officially started in Anqing since 2022.

As an important strategic project of Midea Group, the total investment of the new strategic new base project for new energy auto parts is about 11 billion yuan, of which the investment in fixed investment is about 6.5 billion yuan. The first phase of the project is planned to cover 458 mu of land and is located in Yuanmeng New District, Anqing City, Anhui Province. The project focuses on breaking through the four basic bottlenecks such as core basic components, and aims to build an internationally competitive advanced manufacturing and modern service industry base. It mainly produces electric compressors for new energy vehicles, drive motors for new energy vehicles, and steering motors. and other categories.

After the project is completed, it can form an annual production capacity of 60 million sets and realize an annual output value of 40 billion yuan.
