On February 16, 2022, Nanshan District, together with the Municipal Transportation Bureau, held a centralized commencement ceremony for three-year key transportation construction projects in Nanshan District at the construction site of the demonstration section of Chuangxin Avenue (the southwest corner of the intersection of Keyuan South Road and Haitian 1st Road). The reporter was informed that in this three-year key transportation construction plan, there are 246 planned construction projects with a total investment of about 16.5 billion. After the completion of the plan, the road mileage in Nanshan District will increase to 626 kilometers, and the road network density will increase to 5.41 kilometers per square kilometer.

At present, several key municipal projects such as Shekou International Ocean City in Nanshan District, Houhai Financial Headquarters Base, Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, Xili High-speed Railway New City, and Xili Lake International Science and Education City are in full swing to ensure the economic development of supporting industries. If necessary, the Nanshan Administration Bureau of the Municipal Transportation Bureau will focus on the overall, forward-looking, critical and deep-seated issues faced by the medium and long-term development of the jurisdiction, and combine the urban development situation and transportation needs of key areas in the jurisdiction to coordinate the pre-traffic planning projects and construction projects in the jurisdiction. Relying on the "14th Five-Year Plan for Comprehensive Transportation in Nanshan District", a three-year implementation plan for transportation construction in Nanshan District was studied and formulated. Guided by the "Planning", through unified planning, unified standards, and unified construction, a joint force will be formed, and the overall layout will be promoted to promote the construction of transportation infrastructure.

The plan will fully guarantee the construction of major municipal transportation projects, fully promote the district investment in transportation infrastructure projects, and fully transform the unmanaged roads. Through the rolling development of the three-year implementation plan of transportation construction, the urban transportation infrastructure will be gradually improved and upgraded.
