Morocco is planning to build new highways, which will help reduce congestion during peak hours in key areas. One of the biggest projects is a new 60-kilometre highway that will connect Rabat and Casablanca. The project is being implemented by the Moroccan highway operator, the National Autonomous Vehicle Company (ADM). The route will extend between the loop in Rabat and the loop in Casablanca. Construction is expected to begin in 2020 and will not be completed until 2030. The implementation cost of the project is approximately $ 528 million.
Another project will be used to build a 30km highway between Casablanca and Berrechd, which will help reduce traffic congestion around Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The cost of the project is expected to be approximately $ 211.2 million. In addition, a 105-kilometer highway is planned to connect Nador in northeast Morocco with Guercif in the south along the Mediterranean coast. Editor / Zhao Yongjing
