In order to accelerate the process of building a strong transportation country and open up the main artery of economic development, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transportation recently issued the "14th Five-Year Development Plan for Highways in Yunnan Province" (referred to as the "Plan"), which clearly stated that by 2025, Yunnan highway investment will strive to reach 10,000 yuan. More than 100 million yuan, the total scale of highways will reach 350,000 kilometers; the total mileage of expressways will be guaranteed to reach 13,000 kilometers, and strive to reach 15,000 kilometers. A road transportation system with smooth connections, high-quality services and strong kinetic energy.

"One-stop" travel will be widely used

The scale of Yunnan highway network will continue to expand. The "Planning" proposes that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yunnan will focus on the implementation of highway interconnection projects, ordinary national and provincial highway upgrading and reconstruction projects, rural highway consolidation and upgrading projects, and highway hub station improvement projects, so that highway transportation will contribute to economic and social development. The leading role of leading is more obvious.

In terms of expressway interconnection, Yunnan will speed up the comprehensive network formation in central Yunnan, realize the complete connection along the border, enhance the circulation capacity of western Yunnan, and improve the level of interconnection; comprehensively promote the completion of the remaining projects of "all-connectable" of county-level expressways, and accelerate the progress. The county-level expressway interconnection project has implemented 9 national expressway projects from Nanjian to Yunxian, and 70 provincial expressway projects from Menglian to Menghai.
