The construction of Vietnam's railway network has accelerated in recent years. A few days ago, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee announced that the Vung Tau-Bian Hoa railway project with a total length of 84Km has begun. According to the Provincial People’s Committee, according to the “Railway Network Planning for the Period 2021-2030 and Outlook to 2050” approved by the Prime Minister, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Railway will run from Chin Peng Station to Vung Tau Station with a gauge of 1435mm and a total length of 84Km. Among them, the Bien Hoa-Siwei section is a double line, and the Siwei-Vung Tau section is a single line.
The Bien Hoa-Vung Tau railway is a part of the Trans-Asian railway network, which is connected with the national railway via the Lu Ninh (connecting Cambodia)-Sincere-Ian railway line. This is also a railway connecting Ba Ria - Vung Tau Port Group Gay Mai - Shi Wai International Gateway Port.
According to the approved plan, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau railway connection is a national key project and a priority project in the 2021-2030 phase of the Gay Mai-Shi Wai Port.
The source of funds for the project is the central fund, and the Ministry of Transport has instructed the Vietnam Railway Administration to initiate the investment project.
It is also known that there are many domestic and foreign investors, including a large South Korean construction group, who are very interested in investing and constructing the project in the form of PPP. Editor / Xu Shengpeng
