The Croatian Senj Wind Power Plant is located in Senj, a coastal city in central Croatia. It was invested by China North International and started construction in November 2018 with a total investment of 179 million euros and a total installed capacity of 156 megawatts. It uses 39 wind power generation units with a single unit capacity of 4 megawatts. Unit equipment, wind farm area of 42.8 square kilometers. The project was officially put into operation in December 2021. It can contribute about 530 million kWh of green electricity every year and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 460,000 tons. It will provide a strong impetus for Croatia to promote energy transition and develop a green economy.

Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic said at the project completion ceremony that we look at this project at a deeper level, namely the relationship between Croatia and China, as well as the efforts of the two countries for green transition and combating climate change. I am confident that all those who have put in the hard work and energy over the past few years will work towards perfecting this project and our entire power system will benefit from it.Editor/Ma Xue
