In the context of accelerating the implementation of the dual carbon goals, the wind, photovoltaic and clean energy industries in various regions are booming. The reporter learned from the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 18 that Inner Mongolia will speed up the implementation of major energy projects in 2022, and plans to implement 262 energy projects of more than 100 million yuan, accounting for about 40% of Inner Mongolia's 2022 fixed asset investment.

"During this process, we must focus on handling the project procedures, pay close attention to the construction of new energy projects, and make every effort to promote the speed and efficiency of project construction, so as to complete and put into operation as soon as possible." said Chen Zheng, deputy director of the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

As an important national energy base, Inner Mongolia is constantly adjusting its energy structure while ensuring the supply of traditional energy sources such as coal, and its energy supply is shifting towards clean energy. Take the lead in building a new power system with new energy as the main body. By 2025, the installed capacity of new energy will exceed the installed capacity of thermal power, and by 2030, the total amount of new energy power generation will exceed the total amount of thermal power generation.

Chen Zheng said that in 2022, Inner Mongolia will further promote the development of the new energy equipment industry chain, strengthen the development of the four key industrial chains of "wind-solar hydrogen storage", promote the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases, and promote the coordinated construction of new energy development and equipment manufacturing. At the same time, Inner Mongolia will ensure energy supply with higher requirements, release advanced coal production capacity in an orderly manner, and continuously strengthen supervision over the performance of medium and long-term thermal coal contracts.
