Terex Powerscreen Headquarters was recently awarded the "Zero Waste" award for its environmental practices and contributions to sustainable development.
Headquartered in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, Terex Powerscreen employs around 650 people and produces equipment that is exported around the world.
Business Director Sean Loughran said: "This award is a recognition of the environmental performance achieved in all aspects of Terex's Dungannon facility environment.
In addition to actively taking various measures to deal with waste over the years, we have also reduced our carbon footprint by investing in new equipment, installing new roofs in some of our production facilities, and LED lighting to save energy and improve the lighting environment, and in our Invest in new local ventilation and dust removal devices in the manufacturing hall to improve air quality.
These examples and joint efforts have greatly improved our overall environmental performance, the working environment of our team members, and reduced costs.
We are happy to tell you that all of our non-hazardous waste that is handed over to local recycling companies is reused, recycled and energy recovered, and none of our waste needs to be landfilled. In the process of further reducing carbon emissions, we will continue to explore and practice.
Loughran continued: Powerscreen has had a strategic focus on sustainability for many years. In 2021, our team hosted an industry-leading seminar on our four core measures for decarbonizing equipment.
Our professional engineers are constantly providing solutions designed to be greener:
1. Develop a large number of hybrid electric crushers, screens and conveyors
2. Improve the machine to provide the same effect at a lower RPM
3. Design complete solutions for recycling applications, such as our new Titan Range. Editor / Zhao E
