At 12:00 on March 24, Tanzania time, the opening ceremony of the Tanzania Blue Sea-crossing Bridge, which was built by China Railway Bridge Corporation, was held in Dar es Salaam. Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu attended the ceremony.
In his speech, President Samia thanked the builders for their efforts in this project. She pointed out that the opening of the Tanzanian Blue Sea-Crossing Bridge is of great significance in relieving traffic pressure, promoting the flow of people, boosting economic growth, and enhancing the image of Tanzania's economic capital city. Through the completion of a series of projects, Dar es Salaam will be built into a modern metropolis and a state-of-the-art business center.
The local people were excited about the smooth opening of the Tanzania Blue Bridge, and there were thunderous applause and cheers. After the speech, President Samia cut the ribbon for the project and walked to the bridge site, praising the construction unit's high standard and high efficiency.
The Tanzanian Blue Bridge was officially opened to traffic after a 50-day trial operation, which effectively relieved the traffic pressure in the central business district of Dar es Salaam. The Tanzanian Blue Bridge has become a new urban landmark because of its unique geographical location and the lift shape symbolizing freedom and peace, attracting tens of thousands of people and tourists to check in.

The Tanzanian Blue Sea-crossing Bridge is located in Dar es Salaam, spanning Oyster Bay in the Indian Ocean, connecting the existing CBD area and Cocoa Beach. It is a five-tower cable-stayed bridge. The bridge is 1030 meters long, 20.5 meters wide, and has 4 lanes in both directions.
The bridge is the third large-scale infrastructure project undertaken by China Railway Bridge Bureau in Tanzania after the Nyerere Bridge and Mtwara Port projects. Editor/He Yuting
