Imports and exports with major trading partners achieved positive growth, and imports and exports to countries along the Belt and Road increased slightly. From January to February 2022, the import and export value of Gansu Province to Kazakhstan, the European Union (excluding the United Kingdom), and Australia were 2.65 billion yuan, 970 million yuan, and 650 million yuan, respectively, up 24.5%, 75.2%, and 45.1% year-on-year. During the same period, the total import and export value of Gansu Province to countries along the Belt and Road was 4.63 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, accounting for 44% of Gansu's total foreign trade value. The import and export of state-owned enterprises accounted for more than 70%, and the import and export of private enterprises grew rapidly. In the first two months, the total import and export value of state-owned enterprises in Gansu Province was 7.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.1%, accounting for 72.3% of the total foreign trade value of Gansu Province. Among them, the export value was 700 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 279.7%; the import value was 6.92 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. During the same period, the import and export value of processing trade in Gansu Province was 2.55 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.3%, accounting for 24.2% of the total foreign trade value of Gansu Province. The import and export value of the Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Lanzhou New District has increased significantly. In the first two months, the import and export value of Lanzhou New Area Comprehensive Bonded Zone was 1.01 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 65.2%. Among them, the export value was 140 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 77.4%; the import value was 870 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.5%.

Exports of specialty agricultural products and organic chemicals have grown substantially. In the first two months, the export volume of characteristic agricultural products in Gansu Province reached 450 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.1%. Among them, the export value of seeds and apple juice was 140 million yuan and 63.602 million yuan respectively, a year-on-year increase of 61.3% and 293.3% respectively. During the same period, the export value of organic chemicals in Gansu Province was 110 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 73.3%.
