On April 24, 202, with the successful blasting of the last three meters, the left line of the Black and White Jiangjunshan Tunnel of the third passage throat project, which was constructed by the China Railway 18th Bureau Group and connected Zhuhai and Hengqin New Area, was successfully completed. The Mianjunshan Tunnel has entered the final sprint stage, laying a solid foundation for the whole line to pass through.

The maximum excavation section of the tunnel is 258 square meters. The top of the tunnel is only 7 meters away from the high-voltage line tower dedicated to Macau, and it penetrates the water conveyance tunnel for Macau at a close distance. The closest point is only 4 meters. Construction faces serious challenges.

As an important part of Zhuhai's "six horizontal and ten vertical" transportation network in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the completion of the third passage from Zhuhai to Hengqin New Area will greatly ease the traffic pressure in and out of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone.
