Recently, the construction of the roof cable structure of the Dalian Barracuda Bay Football Stadium project undertaken by China Construction Eighth Bureau was completed as scheduled. The project covers a total area of about 26.5 hectares, with a total construction area of about 136,000 square meters. It is positioned as a 63,000-seat super football field. The east side is equipped with two natural grass football training fields and one auxiliary supporting building. It is the only three-sided football field in China. The seaside football field around the sea is the first professional football field in Dalian. The project is planned to be completed and accepted in December 2022 and start trial operation.
The canopy cable structure of the project is designed as a spoke-type upper-biased lower radially flexible double-layer cable net system. It is the first time in China that the overall lifting weight reaches 2,600 tons, the maximum cable diameter reaches 125 mm, and the overall cable internal force value exceeds 40,000 tons. The weight and construction difficulty are the highest in the world.
By comparing multiple technical schemes, as well as carrying out experiments and theoretical simulations on construction, the project builder analyzed the influence of the gap between the cable anchor and the lug plate on the force for the first time in China, and the influence of the rotation of the cable clamp during the construction process for the first time. The analysis is carried out, and the uneven force of the parallel loop cable in the whole life cycle is analyzed for the first time. In the end, the cable materials used in the project are all domestic high-vanadium airtight cables and light smart cables, which are the first batch applications in similar projects in China.Editor/Ma Xue
