Equipment arrives at the tunnel site for construction
The section from Xinduqiao to Bomi of the plateau railway to which the Yingjinshan Tunnel belongs is the section with the highest altitude, the most complex topographic, geological and climatic conditions and the most difficult construction. Its harsh conditions put forward higher requirements for tunnel construction equipment.

The terrain around the Yingjinshan Tunnel has a large height difference, the top terrain is steep, the tunnel is long, the burial depth is large, and the traffic conditions are extremely poor. Among them, Yingjinshan No. 1 Tunnel has a total length of about 18,120m, and Yingjinshan No. 2 Tunnel has a total length of 12,939m, and the proportion of grade IV and V surrounding rocks is as high as 93.8%.
The two major tunnels have long construction periods, complex geology, faults, water and mud inrush, harmful gas, large deformation and other adverse geological conditions. They are all Class I high-risk tunnels. Facing the problems of long construction period, poor surrounding rock stability and high risk, Wuxin intelligent equipment rose to the challenge and performed well.

Due to the complex and changeable surrounding rock in the tunnel and the high proportion of weak surrounding rock, it is required to flexibly use bolts with different diameters of 45mm, 64mm and 76mm to support the tunnel. The clamping device on the Wuxin digital bolt trolley can assist in the disassembly and assembly of the drill pipe, which greatly shortens the replacement time of the drill pipe; the automatic hole search function can ensure the one-key installation of the bolt after the drilling is completed, which greatly improves the construction efficiency.
In addition, data functions such as the number of drilling holes, the number of bolt installations, and the depth of drilling holes are digitally recorded, allowing the construction personnel to know the construction situation well. At present, it only takes one and a half minutes for the equipment to drill a single hole of 4 meters. Its simple operation and digital functions have won unanimous praise from construction units and operators.

The air in the plateau area is thin, and each tunnel arch weighs about 480kg. The labor cost of traditional vertical arches is high and extremely dangerous. The Wuxin tunnel arch frame installation vehicle is equipped with two robotic arms and two working platforms, with a maximum lift of 1000kg. Only 4 people can easily complete the steel frame installation and reinforcement mesh laying. It only takes 20-30 minutes to install a single arch, the construction efficiency is increased by 60%, and the risk of personnel safety is reduced by 80%, especially in the plateau hypoxia environment, the effect is more prominent.
