On May 18, the National Energy Group held a ceremony for the centralized start (pre-commencement) of power projects in 2022, announcing that there are 11 projects in 5 categories, including onshore new energy bases, offshore wind power, large-scale hydropower, coal power expansion and upgrade, and natural gas power generation, with a total installed capacity of 12.38 million. Kilowatt power projects started and pre-started, with a total investment of 86.1 billion yuan. These projects are distributed in 10 provinces and regions and involve 9 subsidiaries of the National Energy Group.

This concentrated start-up project is part of the major projects of the National Energy Group in 2022. The Party Group of the National Energy Group has put forward hard targets and tasks for development based on the in-depth implementation of the national strategy and the promotion of clean, low-carbon and high-quality development. The group's annual development will invest 2000 100 million yuan, and strive to achieve 31 million kilowatts of power projects and 22 million kilowatts of production, of which more than 20 million kilowatts of new energy have been started and 15 million kilowatts have been put into production.

The power industry is the main battlefield for the green and low-carbon development of the National Energy Group. In recent years, the National Energy Group has built high-quality clean and high-efficiency coal power, vigorously promoted the scale of clean energy, increased the proportion of clean and renewable energy installed capacity by 4.3 percentage points, and has 44 ultra-supercritical coal power units with one million kilowatts, accounting for nearly one-third of the country's total. One, the installed capacity of wind power is 50 million kilowatts, ranking first in the world. Photovoltaic has increased by 4 times compared with the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan. The group's annual power generation exceeds 1.1 trillion kilowatt-hours, accounting for about 14% of China, which effectively guarantees a reliable supply of energy and electricity.
