On May 23, 2022, the Chongqing-Lincang-Myanmar International Railway Express, a new China-Myanmar corridor, departed from Yuzui Station in Guoyuangang, marking the official opening of the new China-Myanmar corridor Chongqing-Lincang-Myanmar. The train carried 60 TEUs, including mechanical equipment, electronic parts, auto and motorcycle parts and other goods. It left the country through Lincang Port in Yunnan, and finally arrived in Mandalay, Myanmar 15 days later.

The new China-Myanmar corridor has opened up another logistics route for the new western land-sea corridor through road-rail combined transportation. Relying on the new China-Myanmar channel, the export of goods from Chongqing and its surrounding areas can be connected to Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asian countries through the sea port of Myanmar, and the transportation distance and transportation time are greatly shortened. According to estimates, the logistics time between Chongqing and Myanmar can be saved by 20 days compared with the traditional route, and the logistics cost can be reduced by 20%.Editor/Ma Xue
