Tiantai Pumped Storage Power Station is located in Tantou Town and Yongxi Township, Tiantai County, Zhejiang Province. Major construction projects planned during the period. The power station plans to install 4 reversible hydro-generator units with a single unit capacity of 425,000 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 1.7 million kilowatts. The rated water head of the power station is the highest in the world at 724 meters, the single unit capacity ranks first in the domestic pumped-storage power station, and the length of the upper and lower diversion inclined shafts is 483.4 meters, the first in the country. The power station pivot project is mainly composed of upper reservoir, lower reservoir, water delivery system, underground powerhouse and switch station. The East China Institute, a subsidiary of the company, is responsible for the survey and design, and the Fifth and Twelve Hydropower Bureaus undertake the main construction tasks.

After the completion of the rooftop pumped storage, it is estimated that the annual power generation will be 1.7 billion kWh, which can save about 520,000 tons of coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.04 million tons.
