Saudi Arabia's NEOM Green Hydrogen Co. has selected India's Larsen & Toubro to build a solar and wind power plant to power the city's $6.4 billion green hydrogen-based ammonia plant.

ACWA Power is one of NGHC's three equity partners with AirProducts and NEOM Co. to provide energy for the project. The Riyadh-based company declined to comment when contacted by Arab News. According to MEED, L&T submitted a proposal with Energy China and China Power for an engineering, procurement and construction contract to build renewable energy infrastructure.

The contract includes the construction of a 2,930 MW solar power plant, a 1,370 MW wind farm and a 400 MW battery storage system. The package also includes a 190km transmission network. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
