Saudi Arabia's NEOM Green Hydrogen Co. has selected India's Larsen & Toubro to build a solar and wind power plant to power the city's $6.4 billion green hydrogen-based ammonia plant.
ACWA Power is one of NGHC's three equity partners with AirProducts and NEOM Co. to provide energy for the project. The Riyadh-based company declined to comment when contacted by Arab News. According to MEED, L&T submitted a proposal with Energy China and China Power for an engineering, procurement and construction contract to build renewable energy infrastructure.
The contract includes the construction of a 2,930 MW solar power plant, a 1,370 MW wind farm and a 400 MW battery storage system. The package also includes a 190km transmission network. Keywords: engineering construction, engineering news
The planned wind and solar power plant will be located in northwestern Saudi Arabia, near the hydrogen plant that will be built in NEOM's OXAGON industrial estate.Editor/XingWentao
