Recently, POWERCHINA issued an announcement on its operations from January to April 2022: a total of 2,651 newly signed projects, with a newly signed contract value of 333.831 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.49%, and a substantial increase in April. Among them, the value of newly signed domestic contracts was 282.383 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.71%; the value of new overseas contracts was 51.448 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of -5.23%.

According to statistics, from January to April 2022, POWERCHINA's main economic indicators will continue to maintain rapid growth, especially the domestic growth rate is astonishing, with a year-on-year increase of 30%, which has laid a solid foundation for the completion of the annual task goals. Since the beginning of 2022, a total of 85 500 million+ projects have been newly signed, with a contract value of about 167.7 billion yuan, accounting for 50% of the total newly signed contract value.

Strong growth in the energy and power sector

From January to April, the number of newly signed projects was 1,471, and the cumulative contract value was 114.686 billion yuan. The number of newly signed projects in April was 867, far ahead of other business segments in terms of quantity. This is closely related to the rapid development of new energy and pumped storage markets under the policy environment. In 2021, POWERCHINA will take advantage of its traditional advantages to seize projects and achieve a year-on-year growth of 342.9% in the business of pumped storage power plants! Starting in 2022, POWERCHINA, as a global leader in the construction of clean and low-carbon energy, will make decisions for the continuous promotion of the pumped storage business and the development of new energy. On March 24, POWERCHINA held a symposium on promoting the healthy development of pumped storage business in Beijing to accelerate the deployment of the entire pumped storage industry chain.

In April 2022, POWERCHINA signed a total of 25 major projects with a single value of more than 500 million yuan, mainly from 12 provinces in China (including municipalities and autonomous regions) and overseas markets.
