Recently, I learned from the Huzhou transportation department that the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission has recently accepted the Hangzhou-Nanjing Expressway Huzhou Urban Contact Line, also known as the Taihu Longzhimeng Tourism Expressway Project Proposal, this expressway around the Huzhou urban area was officially approved.

It is reported that the Hangzhou-Nanjing Expressway Huzhou City Contact Line Project starts from the intersection of Chujiapu Village, Renhuangshan Street, South Taihu New District, Huzhou City, and the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway. The South Taihu Hub will be set up on the existing South Taihu Interconnection, and the route will be set westward. The tunnel passes through Yanggui Mountain and Guanyin Mountain. The Huzhou North Hub is combined on the existing Huzhou North Interconnection. Separate bridges are set up on both sides of the G25 Changshen Expressway. The Xisai Hub is set up near Chuangye Avenue and Xisai Road. The total length of the route is about 14.23 kilometers. The construction standard is a two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The estimated total investment of the project is about 6.13 billion yuan, and the construction period is 48 months.

This project is a connection of the layout of the multi-connected expressway network with nine verticals, nine horizontals, five rings and five channels in the comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network planning of Zhejiang Province, and is also a newly started project in the 14th Five-Year Plan for the comprehensive transportation development of the province and city.
