On June 10, 2022, the Xiaoyuan Tunnel of the reconstruction and expansion project of the Ji'an-Nankang section of the Daguang Expressway was successfully completed after 252 days of intense construction.

As the first single-hole four-lane construction project of Jiangxi Expressway, Xiaoyuan Tunnel is a controlled project of the whole line, with a total length of 390 meters, a net height of 5 meters, a net width of 18.25 meters, and an excavation area of 275.7 square meters. The project adopts the construction technology of double-sided guide pit + double-layer arch frame to divide the super large section into multiple small sections for excavation and support.

The reconstruction and expansion project of the Ji’an-Nankang section of the Daguang Expressway is an important part of the G45 Daqing-Guangzhou Expressway of the National Expressway Vertical Line 5, and it is the most important north-south channel of the expressway network in Jiangxi Province.Editor/Ma Xue
