In recent years, due to factors such as climate warming and humidification, new landforms such as wetlands, fixed sand dunes, wind-eroded badlands, and Gobi have gradually formed in this area.

In addition, projects such as black soil beach management, replanting of degraded grasslands, sand sealing and grass cultivation, and wetland protection have been implemented in the pilot areas of the Sanjiangyuan National Park system.
