The Swedish government has announced a new national infrastructure investment plan worth 82.6 billion euros, which will be operational between 2022 and 2027. This historic investment will be used to modernize and develop the country's infrastructure.

Infrastructure Minister Tomas Eneroth said the government was making its largest infrastructure investment ever. More people will be able to take the train to work, travel safely on the road, and deliver goods by sea. We are reorganizing transportation systems and driving a green industrial revolution through investments across the country. Of the total value, 7.7 billion euros will come from congestion taxes, rail user charges and co-financing. Of the remaining 74.9 billion euros, 15.5 billion euros will be used for the operation and maintenance of the national rail network, 18.48 billion euros for road infrastructure and 15.5 billion euros for road infrastructure. $41 billion will be allocated for the development of the entire transportation system.

The transport minister said the government was making massive investments in rail across the country, a strategy that would create climate-smart transport systems. The €9.38 million project includes the extension of the east coast line, the delivery of a four-track line between Uppsala and Stockholm counties, and the extension of the Gavle-Klingland rail section, which will compare Favorable to increase funding for the government's proposal. There will be a significant increase in funding for the dual-track works on the southeastern line of Sydostlänken and the Maria-Helsingborg central and Laksa-Alingso sections. The strategy also includes new rail projects such as coast-to-coast, the construction of double tracks on the Vaxjo-Lape section and measures to increase capacity between Östersund and Storion.

The new investment strategy also targets the construction of the road sections between Gothenburg and Borås, Haslerholm and Lund, Södertälier and Linköping, and will continue to plan routes between Linköping, Borås and Haslerholm. The remaining stages of the central system in Jönköping. The construction of a high-speed line connecting Stockholm with Gothenburg and Malmö is also included in the new plan. In northern Sweden, these projects will also continue with the extension of the Northern Bothnia line, while funding is under way for a brand new project on the southern line of Malba. By 2027, the Swedish transport authority Trafikverket will provide €56.3 million to fund sustainable transport solutions to increase multimodal transport.

To promote sustainable urban transport, Trafikverket will provide €6,562.9 million to support municipalities and regions in implementing new measures in cities to increase public transport market share or make freight more sustainable. The agency should ensure that funds are distributed more evenly across the country. The government says cost controls must be strengthened and Trafikverket must take strong systemic measures to reduce costs. This applies in particular to the deployment of ERTMS.Editor/XingWentao
