On the morning of June 25, 2022, the Henan Provincial Government held a mobilization meeting at the starting point of the Yellow River Bridge project from Lankao to Fengqiu on Lanyuan Expressway. A major project in the transportation sector with a total investment of 17.82 billion yuan officially started.

Since 2022, the province's transportation system has implemented the "three batches" project construction, and continued to promote the "13445 project" of expressways. 53 expressway projects with a total mileage of 3,388 kilometers and a total investment of 461.2 billion yuan are being accelerated. In the first half of the year, the province's highway and waterway completed an investment of more than 80 billion yuan, accounting for 67% of the annual target, which strongly supported the province's stable economic operation.

The Lankao to Fengqiu section of Lanyuan Expressway is a key project included in the "13445 Project" of the expressway, with a total investment of 7.01 billion yuan and a total length of 30.4 kilometers. After the project is completed, it will become a new iconic passage project across the Yellow River in northern Henan, which will help rural areas.
