The Haiyang Nuclear Power Phase II project is a landmark project for the digestion and absorption of third-generation passive nuclear power technology. It will build two completely self-designed localized CAP1000 nuclear power units with a single unit capacity of 1.25 million kilowatts. It is planned to be fully completed and put into operation in 2027. After the second phase of the project is put into operation, the total installed capacity of Haiyang Nuclear Power will reach 5 million kilowatts, with an annual power generation capacity of 40 billion kWh and a reduction of 32 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
